Stardust (2007)
'Stardust' is a wonderful fantasy romantic film that I believe is very under rated. It has the quality of other great fantasy movies like the 'Princess Bride'. Its innocence, narrative style and the compelling love story makes it stand out among fantasy movies. It tells the story of a shop boy named Tristan (Charlie Cox) from a small English town of Wall. What Tristan doesn't realize is that right across the town's great wall is a magical kingdom. Tristan's infatuation with town's beauty, Victoria (Sienna Miller) starts a great adventure when he promises her a fallen star to gain her love. When he manages to get across the wall, he finds himself in middle of the magical kingdom being chased by feuding princes and crazed witches who are all also searching for the fallen star (Claire Danes). As he ventures across the mythical kingdom with the lovely star, he encounters array of fantastical characters as well as some fearsome creatures. Perfect formula for a great fantasy adventure. 'Stardust' features a great ensemble cast and an enchanting story that is well worth checking out.
