Selma (2015)

'Selma' is a powerful and emotional look into months of heated battle for voting rights in Selma, Alabama during 1965. Dr. Martin Luther King and his supporters gather in Selma to show rest of the country the injustice of voting rights in the south for blacks through non violent protests. The violence, hate, ignorance, and horrors of racism that ensue during the months is all chronicled in the film. It is raw and powerful. You also get a glimpse of look into Dr. King's personal life and the burden his leadership position placed on his family and his personal faith. The acting in this movie is just wonderful and it is well worth seeing for anyone interested in the topic or Dr. King.
